Revolutionizing Diagnostic Testing: Pluslife Minidock Featured at FIND Diagnostics Day Event

On May 30, 2024, Pluslife Minidock was featured at the FIND Diagnostics Day Event. Organized by FIND (Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics), the event highlighted the severe lack of efficient diagnostic tools in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), and demonstrated how Pluslife Minidock and other breakthroughs in diagnostic technology can make a difference.

In accordance with FIND, current diagnostic tools are insufficient to meet the needs of LMICs. Although rapid antigen tests are valuable for widespread use in community clinics and health centers, they do not match the sensitivity of molecular tests. The availability of laboratory-based PCR tests is limited in many countries as well. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, a new generation of highly portable, affordable devices, like Pluslife Minidock, was developed to address this gap, enabling primary care patients to undergo molecular and multi-disease tests, which are crucial for disease surveillance and patient care in the LMICs.

Pluslife Minidock, known for its innovative palm-sized molecular POCT solutions, drew significant attention for its potential to revolutionize infectious disease diagnosis, particularly in the LMICs. It can be operated at the primary care level and also in remote areas that lack laboratory infrastructure. Its capabilities in providing rapid, accurate, user-friendly, and affordable diagnostic testing align perfectly with FIND's mission to decentralize diagnostic testing and enhance global health security.

FIND aims to find and foster suitable technologies to increase access to affordable, high-quality diagnostic products that meet local and regional needs, supporting universal health coverage (UHC), and global health security.
